Our Wedding

We first met at church, where our paths crossed more often as I became more involved in the young adult ministry. The more events I attended, the more Michee and I found ourselves talking. Eventually, we exchanged numbers, though we didn’t really use them at first. My first impression of Michee was that he was sweet, playful, and very involved in the community—a guy who was both capable and likable. Our connection felt unexpected, especially since I had just returned from a semester at VCU and wasn’t sure if I was ready to pursue anything serious. But through prayer, long talks, and leaning on my sisters for guidance, I gave myself the space to really see who Michee was—and I can now say it was absolutely worth it. Our first date was at Artechouse in DC, an interactive art museum that blends creativity and technology. It felt so intentional, like Michee had truly thought about what would make the day special. I had told him I loved art and working with my hands, while he was more into technology, so the experience felt like both of our worlds colliding in the best way. Internally, I was as giddy as a child in a candy store, wanting to squeal and run around exploring everything, but on the outside I stayed calm and composed, still a little shy and nervous since it was our first date. Looking back, that balance between playfulness and restraint made it even more memorable. As we grew closer, I began to realize just how special Michee was. The way he cared for me was unlike anything I had experienced before—he paid attention to the little things others might overlook, and that thoughtfulness made me fall for him deeply. I knew I was truly in love when Michee’s laugh became something I wanted to hear every single day. Even now, I often catch myself trying to make him laugh as many times as possible, just to hear that sound. When Michee proposed, it was everything I could have dreamed of and more. He planned every detail of the engagement dinner perfectly—from flying my sister out to join us, to finding vendors to decorate the space so beautifully. One of the most touching parts was walking down an aisle of rose petals, with each of our loved ones handing me a rose along the way, leading to a glowing heart-shaped sign and ultimately, to him. I had my suspicions beforehand, but nothing compared to the joy of that moment. I was overwhelmed with excitement, gratitude, and love. Now, as we look forward to marriage, I’m most excited about doing life together—continuing to grow as a couple, learning more about each other every day, and eventually stepping into parenthood side by side. I know marriage won’t always be easy, but with Michee, I’m confident that whatever challenges come our way, we’ll face them together. Life feels lighter and more beautiful when you have a partner to share it with, and I can’t wait to keep building ours.

The Bride’s POV

We first met at church — a place already special to us both. At first, it was unexpected. Just a passing hello, maybe a glance. But over time, something shifted. What began as chance encounters slowly turned into something more intentional. One thing was clear from the very start: she was gorgeous — and unforgettable. Our first date took us to the art museum in Washington, D.C. The artwork was stunning, but the real masterpiece was sitting across from me. The love of my life was timid and shy, which only made her more adorable. We shared stories, and one from my childhood made her laugh so hard — it was the first time I really heard her laugh like that. That moment sealed something in me. As we spent more time together, I started realizing just how special she was. Her presence brought joy. Even thinking about her would make me smile. We connected over so much — our faith, values, and the dreams we had for the future. It wasn’t long before I found myself wanting to talk to her every day, just to be close. Love didn’t arrive with fireworks — it came quietly, and then all at once. I knew I was in love when I started feeling a little jealous anytime we weren’t talking. It wasn’t possessiveness; it was longing. I simply missed her when she wasn’t near. I (the groom) proposed — but it truly took a team to make that day perfect. With help from loved ones and a generous friend who offered us a beautiful space, we crafted a moment we’ll never forget. When I asked, she said yes — and her smile said everything. It was joyful, emotional, and unforgettable. We love doing life together — whether its deep conversations, teasing each other just for fun, or simply being in the same space. We genuinely enjoy everything about each other’s company. Our relationship is rooted in faith, laughter, and a whole lot of love. As we step into marriage, we most excited to build a strong legacy — one centered in joy, love, and walking in God’s calling together. The future we see is full of purpose, laughter, and unshakable unity. We cant wait to live out the rest of our story.
