We had a date planned to go to the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, with dinner afterwards at a nearby Italian restaurant. We spent the day walking around the zoo, and with an hour or two left before our dinner reservations, we walked to the bridge over the south pond at the edge of the zoo with the entire Chicago skyline behind us. We walked out onto the middle of the bridge, and Kevin got down on one knee and popped the question!

He hired a professional photographer to take pictures of the entire proposal, capturing this once in a lifetime moment. We celebrated, made a few phone calls to our parents, and went on a long walk before dinner, recapping our day. As we walked into the restaurant, Kevin planned the surprise of a lifetime having both of our parents waiting inside to celebrate with us, even flying Corrine's parents in from Arizona.
