Our Wedding

It only makes sense that our love story started over a glass of wine (Or several). In April of 2022, Kevin's friends invited him to join them at a Hospice du Rhóne wine festival in a town called Paso Robles. As Kevin had only been living in California for a while, he jumped at the opportunity to go to a new wine region with some friends. He headed South from Petaluma with his buddies in tow. Kelli, being the hard working, motivated, intelligent and successful woman that she is had spent the day working at the CIA. After work she was invited to meet friends Sasha and Kiara at their home for some after work libations and to enjoy the best wines of the community. Kelli arrived at their home and was looking for a glass of wine at their outdoor bar. She walked up to the bar and Kevin just so happened to be standing there. In a moment of incredible humor and sassiness Kevin asked Kelli if he could "buy her a drink?" Kelli looked at the outdoor bar full of wine bottles opened by her friends and reluctantly allowed Kevin to pour her a glass of wine from the bottles sprawled out across the bar. Kiara tells a story of how fireworks were developing between Kelli and Kevin over the next couple of hours while enjoying a backyard bar and an onslaught of wine. The night ended and Kevin and Kelli said their fair wells not knowing that they would be face to face the next morning at another Hospice du Rhóne tasting event. The next day Kevin was set up at a booth pouring wine next to his good friend Sam Coturri. Kelli just so happened to be set up at a table that was no more than 10 feet in front of them. As Oliver put it, Kevin spent the day checking out Kelli from about 10 feet away. Soon enough Kevin and Kelli were reunited as they decided they wanted to walk around and taste some of the other wines together. Through the next several weeks and months Kelli and Kevin became inseparable. While they continued to travel to and from Northern and Central California. Eventually, they settled together at home in Paso Robles, where their love story continues today.

Flying into the San Jose Del Cabo (Airport code SJD) airport is the best option for the wedding. There is another airport in Cabo San Lucas but this airport only accommodates private flights and flights from other cities in Mexico. The airport is approximately a 45 minute car ride to any of the accommodations that I have provided below. It's about an hour from Cabo San Lucas and only about 20 minute from San Jose Del Cabo. Upon arrival an Uber or Taxi are not available at the airport. I highly recommend hiring a private driver to take you to and from the airport. If you need special accommodations for this drive please let the private driving service know and they will be sure to accommodate you. Kelli and Kevin are happy to provide recommendations for private drivers to and from the airport. (The cost is approximately $100 each way) We do not recommend a rental car in Cabo San Lucas. There are rental cars available, if you choose to get one. You must carry cash to use at the toll booths when leaving and returning to the airport. Below are a list of hotels and rental homes that we recommend. It's not an exhaustive list so feel free to reach out to one of us to find out where to stay in the event that these places don't make sense for your specific situation.

The Auberge is located in the Chileno Bay community complex. This hotel is an apex of luxury. By booking this hotel you will be able to walk to the wedding ceremony which is in the Chileno bay complex. The hotel offers a variety of room options and has a wide array of amenities.

El Tezal is a neighborhood located about 10 minutes from Cabo San Lucas and 15 minutes from the Chileno Bay community where the wedding will be held. There is several different phases of condo rentals in the Vista Vela I, Vista Vela II, and Vista Vela III community. Kevin and Kelli have stayed at these condos in the past and highly recommend these accommodations. They provide a resort like community with several pools, work out rooms and condo like amenities. There are 1-4 bedroom options available. We believe that the Vista Vela II building is the best option!

Travel

The majority of beaches in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo are not swimmable due to the high waves. If you choose to stay around the West side of the cape the waves are dangerous and we do not recommend getting in the water. Medano Beach is more secluded and generally has a more accommodating environment for swimming and beach activities.

Flora farms is a beautiful restaurant, farm, store and spa located in San Jose Del Cabo. Reservations are necessary and you will need to hire a driver to get you to and from the restaurant. It's a great farm to table location that cannot be missed. It's also the location of Kevin and Kelli's first Valentines day together!

A wonderful beach bar and restaurant that allows you to get your feet in the sand. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. And they serve the beer and tequila to help you relax. It's located on Medano beach. Any Uber or Taxi driver should be able to get you to the road connected to the restaurant. You will then walk down a small alley of sand to the front of the restaurant.

The Office on the Beach - Cabo San Lucas

On Thursday evenings in Downtown San Jose del Cabo there is a wonderful art scene. The square fills up with art vendors that display their works and allow you to take a piece of Mexico home with you. From 5PM - 9 PM there are activities, shows, and art displayed for your enjoyment. This is a wonderful activity for a Thursday evening!

Art Walk San Jose Del Cabo

One of the best brunch spots in Cabo San Lucas. Take a 10 minute Uber ride from your accommodation and arrive at a restaurant that doesn't look like much from the outside, but promises a ton of flavor on the inside. One of the best places to eat and have a fancy coffee in a cost effective manner.
