CAN I BRING A GUEST?
We’re so grateful that you’ll be joining us for our special day! To keep things intimate, we’ve decided to make our wedding a kid-free and invite-only event. Only guests who have been personally invited are welcome to attend. Thank you for your understanding!
WHAT IS THE VENUE LIKE, AND WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FOR THE WEATHER?
Our wedding will be at Blackstone Rivers Ranch in Idaho Springs. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, and the reception will be held in a tent outside (without sides).
Idaho Springs is usually 5-10°F cooler than Denver, with highs typically in the mid-60s to low 70s °F over Labor Day weekend. Be sure to dress in layers, as temperatures can drop in the evening.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE WEDDING?
Our wedding will be cocktail attire, so we ask that men wear a suit with a jacket and women wear a midi or maxi-length dress. Feel free to embrace our "elegant garden party" theme, but it’s not required. We want everyone to feel comfortable and look their best, and we can’t wait to see you there!
DO I NEED TO RENT A CAR?
Not at all! You won’t need a car for the wedding events. From the airport, you can easily take the train or grab an Uber/Lyft to your destination. For the welcome drinks, rideshares are a great option to get there, as we won’t be providing transportation for that event.
For the wedding day itself, we’ve got you covered with a shuttle service to and from the hotel, so no need to worry about getting to and from the venue.
If you want to explore Golden or downtown Denver, rideshare apps will work perfectly for getting around. However, if you're hoping to venture into the mountains beyond the foothills, you might want to rent a car to explore further.
WILL THERE BE TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED TO THE WEDDING?
Yes, as stated above we will be providing transportation to and from the venue, with pick-up and drop-off at the Denver Marriott West Hotel (our hotel block). We strongly recommend using the provided shuttle, as driving in the mountains at night can be challenging for those unfamiliar with the terrain, and Ubers/Lyfts will not be available in the area. While we don’t have exact pick-up or drop-off times yet, we’ll share those details closer to the wedding date.
CAN I TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?
We kindly ask that you leave the photography to our professional photographers so everyone can enjoy the ceremony without distractions. Please feel free to take photos during the reception, and if you do, we’d love it if you could send us any photos you capture after the wedding!
WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR AT THE WEDDING?
Yes, we’ll have an open bar to keep the celebration going! Just a heads-up—the venue requires a valid ID to enjoy drinks at the bar. Idaho Springs is located at 7,500 feet, which is about 2,000 feet higher than Denver. At this altitude, alcohol can affect you faster than at sea level. So, be sure to pace yourself, enjoy your drinks responsibly, and stay hydrated with plenty of water. We want everyone to enjoy the party, so drink responsibly and soak in the mountain vibes!
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS THE RSVP DEADLINE?
To ensure everything runs smoothly with our venue and vendors, we kindly ask that you RSVP by the specified date (8/4/2025). If we don't receive your response by then, we'll assume you're unable to attend. We’ll certainly miss having you celebrate with us, but we must submit our guest count on time. Thank you for your understanding!
WHAT IF I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?
We want everyone to enjoy their meal, so please let us know about any dietary restrictions when you RSVP. If you have specific needs or concerns, feel free to reach out, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
