Kevin and Lauren love to refer to Joe as their “first friend”; though they each bring
plenty of their own friends to the table, as evidenced by the party, Joe was the first person Kevin and
Lauren really got to know together as a couple, and they are thankful for his friendship every week when
it’s time to go catch up at the Ale House! Joe has been a great friend as Lauren and Kevin navigate the
good (moving in together, getting engaged, etc.), the bad (tearing apart their water damaged basement,
for example), and the ugly (such as Kevin’s brief but upsetting mustache phase). Lauren and Kevin are
both happy to have found the perfect person to act as their officiant.
Lynn Morris - Maid of Honor
Growing up as sisters, Lauren has had a built in shopping buddy, fashion stylist and pop culture reporter all in one. Since Day 1, Lynn has been around for everything. Whether they are vacationing to York Beach, Maine or heading to TJ Maxx, it's only fitting that she'll also be joining Lauren as her Maid of Honor on one of her greatest adventures. Kevin has been receiving weekly pop culture updates and has passed every famous person quiz with flying colors. Both Lauren and Kevin are so lucky to have an amazing sister.
Cat Ryan - Matron of Honor
There are three things you should know about Cat. She has known Lauren the longest—since kindergarten. You'll find her standing beside Lauren during the ceremony wiping away her happy tears while also stifling her own. And you'll see her dancing the night away during the reception. She is one special and kind soul to have known for so long.
Melissa Fiori - Bridesmaid
Not only is Melissa Kevin's sister but more importantly, she is Lauren's favorite soon to be sister-in-law. Kevin and Lauren appreciate her phone calls with updates on King and text chats about what humidity does to hair. Lauren is grateful to have been welcomed into the Heald family so warmly by an amazing sister.
Nicolle Nestler Heary - Bridesmaid
Nicolle (yes, we spelled it correctly) and Lauren became the quickest of friends during an impromptu sand volleyball match together. Nicolle was even present the first night Lauren and Kevin started messaging each other. After many more hang outs and barbecues, Lauren even moved in next door to Nicolle for a year while she was dating Kevin. Lauren is thrilled that Nicolle will be spending this memorable day with her as well.
Christopher Goodwin - Best Man
Who could’ve known a freshman year physics class, a Philadelphia Eagles
jersey, and a shared love of fantasy football would be all it took to make best friends in Buffalo in 2010?
Through four years of college, and nearly a decade of life after graduation, one thing is for certain: Chris
and Kevin continue to text each other more than any two grown (allegedly) men should. But, in
between the harassment about each other’s favorite teams, not a week goes by that these two aren’t
checking in about the important stuff, and they can always count on each other when it’s time for a serious chat. Kevin feels very lucky to have the support of a friend like Chris, and is truly honored to have him as his best man.
Blake Bizovi - Groomsman
After years of the obligatory “smile and nod” greetings in many a shared college
classroom, Kevin and Blake became friends the old fashioned way: over a plate of free pancakes at IHOP
when they were supposed to be in class. Ever since, these two have chased many a shared hobby
together; Kevin likes to tell people that record shopping with Blake in college was the only thing that got
him out of bed before noon on a Saturday morning. Kevin appreciates the “go all in” approach he and
Blake share when it comes to the hobbies they share, and is excited to have the “Blake enthusiasm” by
his side for the big day.
Christopher Bill - Groomsman
From playing Gameboys in the bleachers at their sisters’ winterguard competitions
as third graders to sharing many a laugh playing video games as (again, allegedly) adults, Chris and Kevin
have scarcely missed a beat in their twenty-plus years as friends. From marching band fields in the
middle of the summer to ultimate frisbee fields in the middle of the night and everything in between,
these two have shared so many activities and so many different life stages together, doing it all with
each other’s support. Kevin is grateful to be sharing his wedding day with an old friend like Chris.
Daniel Hunsberger - Groomsman
Only a friendship forged in the fires of an eighth grade science lab could’ve
withstood two years of living together during those cold Buffalo winters, but thankfully Kevin and Dan
had what it took. Though distance has made the visits less frequent, Kevin and Dan still make sure to
get together a few times a year like clockwork for the time honored traditions of sports video games, a
few too many Labatt Blue Lights, and embarrassing their partners with stories from their college days.
Kevin is thrilled to share his wedding day with the only person other than Lauren who was kind enough
to tolerate living with him – hopefully Dan has some advice to help Lauren through it!
Gregory Faughnan - Groomsman
Here’s a fun bit of trivia: Greg and Kevin can’t really remember when it was that
they started hanging out all the time – one day they were just inseparable. There was definitely an
eighth grade birthday party in the mix and a few classes together, but truthfully it might’ve just been a
senior study hall together that rolled into ping pong after school together that ultimately rolled into all
kinds of shenanigans together ever since. One thing is for sure: no Heald wedding would be complete
without the Faughnan presence, and Kevin is thrilled that he’ll have Greg by his side.
Patrick Faughnan - Groomsman
If only the high school science teachers knew what they’d started when Pat and
Kevin got paired together to tackle “Protein Modeling” for Science Olympiad. Nearly 15 years and 15
billion laughs later, Kevin is so grateful for a friend like Pat who never fails to lift his spirits. Incalculable
hours hanging out in Kevin’s basement or chatting in a Discord call, a few trips up north to Maine, and
everything in between have resulted in too many stories to tell, but Kevin can’t imagine celebrating his
wedding day without Pat and cannot wait to celebrate with him.
Jason Staniulis - Groomsman
Tale as old as time, here we have two friends who meet through a mutual friend and
then become thick as thieves themselves. Jason and Kevin started hanging out at marching band
parties, moved on to LAN parties, made a brief pitstop at college parties, and have now landed in the
“each other’s wedding parties” era together. Jason has long carried the burden of being one of Kevin’s
first calls for advice or guidance, and Kevin is certain that all of those years of practice will pay off
handsomely now that Jason is a wonderful new dad! As they approach two decades of friendship, Kevin
is very honored to have Jason join him up front for his wedding day.
Joseph Fiori - Groomsman
Though they may not have been brothers from birth, Kevin can hardly remember life
before his brother-in-law Joe was in the picture. From many a shared Heald vacation to the recurring
cold beer indulgences around a fire pit, or a Kan Jam game, or even a lake in Maine, Joe is as much
family to Kevin as anyone who doesn’t share DNA can be. Joe and his family taught Kevin how nice it
can be to extend your family through a wedding. Kevin is thrilled to have a brother like Joe to share his
special day with, and Lauren is thrilled to learn what having a brother is all about!
