Kevin & Melissa draw their love story back, officially, to Evangelines Bistro in the Central West End neighborhood of St. Louis on April 3rd, 2019, though Kevin had his eye on her from afar long before then. Their 3+ hour first date on Grandma Sylvias birthday covered everything from their dating histories and disappointments, to their love for their families and personal goals. The band played, the conversation grew, and eventually the server apologetically confessed that she had to go feed her cats, but just could not bring herself to end the date. Would you mind if I ran home and came back?!, she asked. This exploration of one another and what they saw for their respective futures laid the groundwork for an attitude of seizing lifes opportunities, no matter where they may be. What they could never have anticipated was the first opportunity dropping itself in their laps in the thick of Covid, just over one year into their relationship. That opportunity came in the form of the Southwest desert, a locale neither of them had ever considered or frankly knew anything about. But their shared instinct to grab the bull by the horns wouldnt let them pass it up. They jumped in a U-Haul in St. Louis with their beloved Harvey, stopped in Kansas City for Kevins surprisingly unprepared apartment, and eventually got on the road to Phoenix. 2 days later, after a stop in Winslow, Arizona for a photo op, of course, they arrived at the leasing office of their sight-unseen apartment in Scottsdale with 4 minutes to spare before it closed for the day. From that day forward, this couples lives have been more fulfilling (and full of sunshine) than they couldve ever dreamed. And while they were fortunate to find one of their Happy Places in the desert, they remain focused on friends and family, and know better than to think they know what life has planned for them. Whether their road leads somewhere new, or back to the Midwest near those they love, or winds and winds and ends up back in the Valley of the Sun; they are blessed to have had the unwavering support of those around them and cant wait to celebrate together, back where it all began.

A shuttle is booked for the duration of the wedding. Pickups will be at 4:00 PM and 4:45 PM from Best Western Plus hotel in Washington, MO. Guest may be dropped off at the hotel by the shuttle at 9:30 PM and 11:30 PM. There is a large parking lot at the venue if you would prefer to park there. The winery is on the grounds and a great place to checkout if you arrive early.

Wineries: Washington, Missouri and the surrounding areas are considered the wine country. If you are booking a hotel or airbnb in the area, please take the opportunity to treat yourself at one of the beautiful wineries.
