In 2012, both Kevin and Lorraine decided to move to New York City, separately of course, as they hadn't yet met. For 2 years they lived in the same city of Astoria, Queens, took the same train, worked within blocks of each other and even hung out in some of the same social circles. In fact, Lorraine would often see Kevin's then roommate on nights out. In 2014, Lorraine decided New York wasn't for her and she left the city, still never having met Kevin.

While Lorraine bounced around from here to there, Kevin remained in NYC until January 2021 when his friends convinced him to move to Los Angeles. Lorraine had lived in Los Angeles from 2015 until leaving in 2019 but feeling like she was leaving something behind. After some time away, something was telling her she needed to go back. She moved back to LA in May 2021.

One week in September 2021, Lorraine had friends in town and they were getting ready to go to dinner but undecided as to where. One of Lorraine's LA friends (a former NYC friend) had invited her to a birthday dinner, but unfortunately, there wasn't room for more than one extra person, so Lorraine and her friends decided they would see this friend another night. Kevin and Lorraine found out later that the dinner reservation was for Kevin's birthday.

About one week later, with Lorraine's friends still in town, that same friend invited a group of people to his apartment for a happy hour sunset. While getting ready, Lorraine took a peek at a dating app, and sure enough the handsome man named Kevin we all know and love appeared. Kevin, being a name that Lorraine was attached to because of her dog Kevin, she not so seriously thought, "How funny and cute would that be?". As she looked through Kevin's photos, she noticed her LA friend and that roommate of his in NYC whom she would see out. She thought to herself, "well, they are nice guys, maybe this Kevin isn't so bad", and she gave him a heart to let him know her interest was peaked.

Shortly after Lorraine and her friends arrived at the happy hour, she heard the friend and Kevin's former roommate mentioning that Kevin was on his way. Lorraine was a little bit excited, even though at that point, Kevin had not liked her back on the app. Kevin arrived and made his way to the rooftop where they were all gathered enjoying some cocktails. Kevin immediately noticed Lorraine, however was quite shy given he knew he saw her on a dating app and wasn't sure if she remembered him. They were finally introduced after so many missed meetings nearly a decade prior.

After cocktails, the whole group went to a nice dinner in Malibu and as they made their way to the next stop, a bar in Santa Monica, Kevin liked Lorraine back on the dating app. Very smooth.

From there, they talked, got to know each other, exchanged phone numbers and Kevin sealed the deal with a kiss at the end of the night. They lived less than 10 mins apart and continued to see each other for a few months until making it official. Within a year they were living together. Kevin brought Lorraine, lil' Kev, Chance & Porcia (kitties) into his apartment that he had had all for himself. Lil' Kevin peed on rugs whenever he got the chance and the kitties destroyed his furniture, but Kevin never got upset. Ultimately, these small mishaps never deterred Kevin and Lorraine's relationship from growing into something more special.

As they started to think about what they wanted their life together to look like, they decided that their long term plans were not meant to be in LA. They both wanted to be closer to family thus an East Coast move made the most sense. They settled on St. Petersburg, Florida and moved in September 2023. Within months of moving, Kevin bought a ring and got down on one knee in the Florida Keys (Lorraine's favorite part of Florida) where she said yes!

It is undeniable that Lorraine and Kevin were meant to meet and share this life together. They have recently purchased a home and are excited for all the future adventures they will share in their forever!
