Kevin & Nina met for the first time in August of 2015! Kevin was attending college at Purdue University in West Lafayette and Nina was attending Indiana University Northwest.
Kevin played soccer on the Purdue Club Soccer team with a mutual friend, Andrew Becerra. It is Andrew we have to thank for setting us up. Nina grew up with him in her hometown of Highland, Indiana.

Kevin & Nina started to get to know each other over the summer before Kevin returned to Purdue for the new school year and finally met in person for the first time at the Neon Cactus, a hallowed institution of the Purdue bar scene. Things blossomed from there, with Nina essentially becoming the fourth roommate of Kevin's apartment. She helped him keep his head on straight and stay focused on his goal of graduating with a Civil Engineering Degree, even though it took an extra year or two!

Nina's family was planning to move out to Arizona, where they would go often throughout her childhood. She jumped at the opportunity to join them and transferred to Arizona State University, where she finished her degree in Health Innovation and later on graduated with her Masters. Luckily, this was around the same time Kevin graduated and she would be closer being he lived in Irvine, California.

After endless trips to see each other and when Kevin was looking to move out of his parents' house, Nina suggested to Kevin that they check out Scottsdale! They ended up getting their first apartment together at The Halsten in North Scottsdale. Just a stone's throw away from TPC Scottsdale aka the Waste Management Open, where they found their passion for golf together. This was in January of 2020, right before COVID broke out.


Kevin & Nina grew closer and avoided strangling each other during the pandemic, and also made an addition to the family. Tucker, their French Bulldog, came into the picture. Nina got him as a birthday gift for Kevin, who had never asked for a dog at any point in their relationship. Nevertheless, Tucker is now a spoiled child. He does and gets whatever he wants!

When they wanted a bit more space, they made the jump down to Gilbert, Arizona where they could afford a two-bedroom apartment at The Tyler. It was nestled up to Agritopia, an adorable community with crop fields and lush grass, a rarity in AZ!
2024, was a year of many milestones! Kevin proposed to Nina on Valentine's Day along the Scottsdale Waterfront in Old Town! And a month or two later, they were signing a contract to buy their first home together in Eastmark a rather new community located in Mesa, Arizona. And the rest, is history!
