Our Wedding

The beginning of us

In January 2023, Karen and Kevin met during a class at Texas A&amp;M University. As they got to know each other, they realized they had actually gone to the same high school in San Antonio years earlier—before Karen moved to Cypress—but somehow never crossed paths. What started as a simple introduction turned into a great friendship, and for the next two years they stayed “just friends,” each secretly having feelings for the other but neither saying it out loud. Finally, during a late walk together, they admitted how they truly felt, and since then they’ve been inseparable.  

The Proposal

Kevin and Karen started their day with kolaches before Karen rushed to get ready for their winery tour in Fredericksburg, TX. They spent the afternoon tasting wines, strolling through the vineyard, and taking photos together as they went. While Karen was enjoying the day, Kevin was quietly trying to find the perfect spot—and she could tell he seemed a little nervous.They thought about stopping in town but instead decided to head to the nearby Garrison Brothers distillery to keep the relaxed vibe going. Sitting outside with their drinks, they talked, laughed, and enjoyed each other's company. At one point, Kevin suggested they take a few more pictures and set up the camera. On his way back, he kneeled before Karen and asked her to spend forever with him. Completely surprised, Karen said yes to marrying her best friend. They stayed there for a bit, soaking it all in, watching the sunset, and even grabbed a bottle on the way out to save for their wedding day.

What are our wedding colors?

We want to see our families and friends dress up with us! We have a western elegance dress code; a blend of polished style with cowboy-inspired touches. For the Ladies:Cocktail dresses or skirts are wonderful choices. You can also opt for a tailored jumpsuit or an elegant pantsuit. Western-inspired details like ruffles, floral prints, or leather accents are a beautiful touch. Pair your outfit with boots or heels and feel free to top it off with a cowboy hat. For the Men:Well-fitted suits or a blazer paired with dress trousers are perfect. A crisp collared shirt—whether a classic button-down or western-style pearl snap—works great. Feel free to complete the look with clean, polished cowboy boots. Accessories like a hat, bolo tie, or pocket square are welcome, but optional. We politely ask for No Jeans.
