Karyn and Kevin met when Kevin was bartending at P.T. O'Malley's in East Lansing while Karyn was visiting her sister. They exchanged numbers but it would be a few years before anything major developed still.

On an fateful night Kevin and Karyn were both out on the town with separate groups of friends and happened to cross paths as one group was leaving the bar and the other was entering. They immediately hit it off again and set up plans to go on a date.

After spending a few weeks texting to get to know each other, they finally set up their first official date at Hopcat. They had such a great time they decided to keep it going.

Kevin plans a trip to Charlevoix to introduce her to his family for the first time during Charlevoix's Applefest. They are blessed with beautiful weather the entire weekend and Karyn immediately falls in love with the town.

After talking about it for a few months, Karyn finally pulls the trigger and gets herself a dog (on Kevin's birthday). Reggie is immediately welcomed into the family and they have both loved him ever since.

Kevin and Karyn finally make a big decision and decide it's time to move in together as the move into Kevin's house he purchased the previous March after moving back from Grand Rapids.

After the unfortunate passing of Kevin's beloved dog, Sasha, in March. Karyn and Kevin began discussing adding another dog to the family. While on a trip to Nashville to visit some friends, Kevin came across photos online of an adorable puppy in need of a home. Once they returned from their trip they set up a meeting and Molly Mae was brought home later that week.

Looking for something fun to do on New Years. Kevin set up a night with some friends to attend a concert at the new venue in Lansing. Little did Karyn know though, Kevin would be proposing at midnight.

She said yes (obviously).
