What is Juta Chupai?

Juta Chupai is a fun Indian tradition that happens during the ceremony. Before the groom enters the altar (mandap), he will take off his shoes. And then...the games begin! Bride's Side - Steal those shoes! Groom's Side - Protect those shoes! At the end of the ceremony, if the bride's side has the Groom's shoes, the Groom has to pay up ($$) to get them back. Note: The ceremony will be going on at this time. Please do not run around. You may get up and try to grab the shoes and scheme, but do it quietly!

How can I see the schedule for the week?

If you go to the RSVP tab and type in your name, you should be able to access the schedule for the week. We will also provide you a physical schedule when you check into the blocked hotel. Lastly, we are setting up a texting service that will start on Friday (sangeet day) to inform guests about daily events and transportation.

Will any events be outside?

Yes! Sangeet night and the wedding ceremony are both outside on a grass lawn. Please plan accordingly.
