I know what you are all thinking: that we are too young to be getting married (haha) or that we are rushing into marriage (haha) or maybe that we should get to know each other a bit more before tying the knot (haha) but we are SO ready to celebrate this next milestone in a room full of people that we love the most.
Our love story goes back to 2014, Kevin took me fly fishing. My joke is that “all I caught was a cold” but in hindsight, I really did get myself a nice little catch that day.
It wasn’t long after we started dating that Kevin moved to Kelowna and I moved to Victoria. Although we managed to see each most weekends, that whirlwind dating wore us out pretty quickly and when the snow started coming we realized that it was time to take the next big leap to join Kevin in Kelowna.
October 2019 Kevin surprised me by asking me to marry him during our maternity photo shoot shortly before Mackenzie was born. Spoiler alert: I said YES! Actually, I think I said “this is so nice!”
We were excited to have a wedding in the Shuswap in 2021 but a global pandemic had other plans…
In between then and now, a few hundred house moves and welcoming sweet Rylee into our lives, there was a number of times that we had thought about doing something small with just immediate family but it just didn’t feel right. Our friends and family have played such an integral part of not only shaping who we are as individuals but encouraging and supporting us first as a couple and now as a family of four (and sauce). So we wanted to make sure that we had the chance to celebrate not only our unrelenting love for each other but all of the love we feel from and for all of you.
We are excited to see as many of you as possible in October ❤️
All of our love,
Kevin, Katie, Mackenzie and Rylee
