We had known each other for most of our lives, gone to the same small Christian school, and he was even my brother's best friend! He asked me to my senior prom in 2021, and I said yes. I had watched him grow up and knew what kind of a person he was. I was excited to get to know him better, although I did not know if it would eventually lead to anything more. Over the next year, we got to know each other better and found ourselves very much in love. On July 22, 2023, he proposed, and I could not have said an easier yes!
