Itโ€™s highly recommended to book in advance, as August is the peak tourism season for the region.

Option 1: Vancouver International Airport (YVR)


There are 3 ferries to reach Vancouver Island. Each arriving at different points of Nanaimo. BC Ferries Tsawassen to Duke Point, BC Ferries Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay, and Hullo Ferry.


1. YVR airport to Ferry terminals to Vancouver Island: via taxi, public transit (sky train or bus) ridesharing (Uber or Lyft).


2. Travel to Qualicum Beach:

- From Duke Point 45 mins by car

- From Departure Bay 35 mins by car

- From Hullo Ferry Terminal 50 mins by car

*Unfortunately ridesharing is not available on Vancouver Island. Please let Ingrid know the time and date of your arrival and she will do her best to assist :)

Option 2: Flying to Nanaimo Airport (YCD)


1. Direct Travel to Qualicum Beach:

- Drive, take a taxi (45mins - 1 hour).


2. Public Transit:

- Take a bus from the airport to downtown Nanaimo, then transfer to another bus to Qualicum Beach.

- Check BC Transit for schedule availability.

Tips

- Car Rentals: Renting a car gives you flexibility to explore.

- Pre-Book Ferries: Reserve BC Ferries tickets in advance, especially if traveling with a vehicle.
