Bailey and I’s love story is a unique one to say the least. However, it is one that only God could write so perfectly. I would say we were both in a rough patch in our lives, as I’m sure Bailey would agree. We were in no shape nor had the want to pursue any kind of relationship, but it didn’t take much for that to change.
It all started with a simple message that I got from Bailey (I may or may not have had to unblock her (not my doing) in order for me to see it, which I did randomly exactly one minute after she sent it… crazy, right?). From that first message on, we never skipped a day of talking to each other and I pretty much became obsessed. Before you know it, two weeks later, I finally got the invitation to meet her for the very first time. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous, but I mean it’s Bailey Jacoby, who wouldn’t be? Little did I know, that invitation of meeting Bai meant I would be meeting her whole 47 member family (kidding…kinda). But to be honest, after meeting her and her whole family that night and seeing how they listen and two-step to the proper country music, play some serious cornhole and card games, and love one another, I knew I wanted to marry Bai and become a part of this family. That next weekend we made a trip to Huntsville to show Bai my family wasn’t crazy, and thankfully both sides of the party loved each other. In fact, I knew I had the green light once my parents pulled me to the side and whispered in my ear, “You better not f*#^ this up”. After those two weekends of us passing the family test for each side, we finally became official!
We knew everything that would come with it, like the 9 months of distance and driving 4 hours each weekend from Dallas to San Antonio to see each other, but we also knew right from the jump that this is what we wanted forever. With that being said, 4 months later I decided it was about time to ask Randal and Mel for their blessing, praying to God that they wouldn’t think I was absolutely insane for asking this quickly. Luckily they didn’t, and the planning for the perfect day began. Finding a free day between the Jacoby and Yeager schedule was nearly impossible, but with the amazing help from people of both families, we were able to make it happen on the 4th of March at “Our Spot” on the Jacoby Ranch. From actually being able to surprise Bailey (which is very hard to do), to celebrating with all of our friends and family afterwards, that day could not have been more perfect and truly exceeded our expectations.
Now here I am, writing our story for the most special day of our lives that’ll be coming quicker than you know it. Bailey and I look forward to making more memories and celebrating with everyone on July 13th, 2024.
