Brett and Kevyn were set up on a blind date by their mutual friend, Caroline Romash. Kevyn happened to be visiting from Colorado and Brett had nothing better to do that Saturday night. This first date turned into a quick second date the very next day- and the rest was history. For the next year Brett and Kevyn went back and forth visiting each other in Colorado and Indiana. After a year of counting down days to seeing each other, Kevyn moved back to Indiana.

For the next 3 years Brett and Kevyn traveled, started news jobs, bought a house, thought about adopting a dog 100 times, danced daily, and intertwined their lives with laughter and love.

Brett decided it was time to put a ring on it during their trip to Europe in April 2024. It was the easiest "yes" she ever said.
