Things to Do

Step into a 16th-century village at the Texas Renaissance Festival, the largest of its kind in the nation. Spanning over 55 acres, TRF offers a fully immersive experience with themed weekends, elaborate costumes, and nonstop entertainment.

🎭 Entertainment & Performances

Jousting Tournaments: Cheer for your favorite knight as they clash in full armor on horseback in the festival's grand arena.

Live Stage Shows: Over 20 stages host everything from comedic swordplay acts and Shakespearean plays to belly dancing, falconry demonstrations, and fire-breathing performances.

Street Performers: Everywhere you turn, minstrels, magicians, stilt walkers, and costumed characters bring the village to life.

🛍️ Artisan Shops & Craft Demonstrations

Explore over 400 shops offering handcrafted wares like leather goods, blown glass, handmade jewelry, steel weaponry, pottery, soaps, candles, and costumes.

Watch artisans at work with blacksmiths forging blades, weavers at their looms, and glassblowers shaping molten glass into intricate pieces.

🍗 Food & Drink

Feast on Renaissance favorites like giant turkey legs, meat pies, Scotch eggs, roasted nuts, and sweet pastries.

Wash it all down with mead, cider, craft beer, or themed cocktails from taverns and ale stands scattered throughout the village.

Don't miss the themed food pavilions like the Greek Agora, Italian Quarter, and German Biergarten for a variety of flavors.

🧝 Themed Areas & Attractions

Stroll through distinct village zones such as the Enchanted Forest, Pirate Bay, King’s Landing, and Sherwood Forest—each with its own unique flair, decor, and cast of characters.

Visit the Magic Garden, a whimsical space perfect for photos, or ride the Da Vinci Flying Machine and other Renaissance-themed rides.

🔮 Interactive Experiences

Get a tarot reading, palm reading, or visit the astrologers’ tents.

Try your hand at archery, axe throwing, or other games of skill.

Dress in costume (or rent one on site) and become part of the living history experience.

🎆 Evening Festivities

As the sun sets, the festival glows with torchlight, music, and revelry.

On select nights, enjoy a royal fireworks show or themed dances and parades that bring the day to a grand, colorful close.
