They met in 2015 at North Dakota State University during Gabrielle's sophomore year and Khang's junior year through mutual friends from their sorority and fraternity. It began with a mutual friend inviting both of them to the library to study; Gabrielle studied, Khang did not. Soon after, Khang asked this mutual friend for Gabrielle's phone number and they had their first date. College was filled with amazing memories and adventures shared together.

After graduating from NDSU, both started working at Microsoft in Fargo, ND and in 2019 they adopted a Boston Terrier puppy, Stella. Their small family moved to the state of Washington where they filled their time with trying new food, camping and sharing their favorite spots with family and friends. One of these special spots was Mount Baker, where they had their first camping experience. They fell in love with the stunning landscape and continued to create amazing memories here during their time in Washington. Then in July 2023 Khang proposed to Gabrielle at Artist Point in Mt. Baker, giving this place even more special meaning in their lives.

In late 2023, Khang and Gabrielle moved to Minnesota to settle down and begin the next chapter of their lives. Khang, Gabrielle and Stella now live in Lino Lakes, Minnesota in their new house and are regularly hosting family and friends.
