Khanh and Eric both studied Chemical Engineering at UC San Diego and started school in 2013. However, they never crossed paths until the fall of 2018, when Khanh just started her Master's program and Eric had just returned to San Diego from his studies at Oxford. One of their mutual best friends, Mohammed, introduced them since Khanh was going to be Eric's TA for CENG 120 (Controls). (Fun Fact: Mohammed was Eric's roommate throughout college and his Fiancée, Giahan, was Khanh's roomate throughout college! They are one of Khanh and Eric's bestest friends!)

Khanh and Eric became good friends throughout the school year as they shared common friends and frequently saw each other in the school library. After getting to know each other as friends, their friendship eventually sparked into something special. For about half a year, they did "long" distance while Khanh moved back to Orange County and Eric continued for an extra year to complete his Master's degree.

Khanh found a job in San Diego and moved down in December 2018, and the couple moved in together shortly after. During the pandemic, the couple adopted their precious fur baby, Luna.

Khanh and Eric shared so many wonderful experiences together: working for the same company as their first job out of school, quarantining during a worldwide pandemic, raising a covid pup, exploring Hawaii as their first couple trip, exploring new territories (like Colorado and Utah), making irreplaceable memories with their amazing friends, and keeping each other accountable with their fitness goals. Despite the global health outbreak during this time, Khanh and Eric were able to create so many special memories together.

In 2022, Khanh and Eric hit a new milestone and closed on their first property. They moved into their newly constructed home on September 2022 and had the pleasure of watching their home get built from the ground up.

Eric surprises Khanh and proposes to her with the help of her best friends. Despite all the suspicious activities from those around her leading up to the proposal day, Khanh was clueless and had absolutely no idea, even when she encountered Eric in the middle of, what she thought, her date with her friends. The proposal was a success! She had her dream proposal in her favorite spot in San Diego, sharing the most special moment with all her dearest friends and family from near and far. Great job to Eric for planning such a dream proposal! Words cannot describe how thankful Khanh and Eric are to all of the friends and family who made time for this special day and even flew in or drove hours for this moment!
