Groom's Story

My cousin, Alanna, was in town one weekend for a residency interview. After church, she came over to my place to catch up and we ended up taking a couple pictures together. Little did I know that after she left, she would post up a dating profile as a joke on Instagram. The post said 6 foot. 2nd year medical student at Baylor. Likes long walks with his dog and puppy chow dinners. Has a super cool cousin. DM me for more deets. I laughed but didn't think much of it until I got a friend request. I opened up my profile and sighed, thinking it was just another spam account, until I saw this super FINE WOMAN'S PROFILE pop up. I saw that she was not only EXTREMELY attractive, but smart, talented, a cat lover, a follower of Christ, and someone who truly cared about her family. I knew I loved her from the moment i saw her. I accepted her friend request and sent her one as well. She accepted within minutes. I immediately decided to put the MAC on her and liked a few of her photos and dropped a couple 👀🔥 on a few as well. She liked my comments and reciprocated with a few of my photos. At that moment, I knew I had to take advantage of the situation. It was do or die, so I sent her the meme below 'cause, you know, sending hey, whats up? is boring and I'm tryna make this woman my WIFE. Turns out she liked memes. The next day, we Facetimed for the first time and there has never been a day since where we haven't talked to each other. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that God would throw such a curveball into my life, but I am so very glad He did.

Bride's Story

It all started December 1st, 2018. I was in a diner with my friends after going to a Christmas parade. As I was sitting at the table scrolling through Instagram, I happened upon a newly added friend's post. It was not just any post, but an opportunity for a single woman who was bored. An instagram friend, Alanna, had posted a couple pictures of her cousin Jeremy. She made the post to resemble a dating profile, adding that he was a med student at Baylor College of Medicine, liked long walks with his puppy, Miguel, and was very, very single. As I gazed at this picture of a complete stranger, I distinctly remember thinking to myself, “ You know, what if this is my future husband? That would be crazy! Thats stupid. Ugh, Kiana you’re so dramatic!” Naturally, I immediately sent him a friend request, stalked his page, and dropped a "🔥" emoji comment on a cute pic. Obviously, I can be very bold. Surprisingly, within minutes, he followed me back! From his instagram, I learned that he loved fun and adventure. He was a licensed skydiver, loved food, nature, and hiking, and he cared about his family. Before I knew it, I had a direct message in my inbox from the man I began to love from the moment I saw him.From the start, Jeremy had me at the meme of a photoshopped basketball player dunking a DM in my inbox. We would like to take this space to inform everyone about the modifications made to our wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic.     Due to COVID-19 and social distancing regulations, we have had our total guest count reduced.   Regretfully, due to this reduction, only formal invitations mailed out will be able to RSVP and make up the official guest list.       The wedding ceremony will now be held at an outdoor pavilion located at following location: Gaylord Springs Golf Links Country Club of Gaylord Opryland Resort    Safety measures are to be put in place to have everyone feel and be safe during this event. The following protocols will be in place:   1. All servers and venue staff will be wearing masks.   2. We are requiring everyone to wear masks when inside the venue, except while eating.    3. Hand Sanitizer Stations will be set up throughout the venue for your convenience.   4. All food/dessert will be served to you by attendants to limit the number of people touching serving items.   5. All tables will be 6 ft apart apart form each other to ensure social distancing, with 6 guests socially distanced at each table.   6. We are requesting all attending guests to show a vaccination card or negative COVID test taken within 7 days of the wedding.   7. We ask that you self-screen and monitor yourself for symptoms throughout the weekend prior to attending the wedding. As much as we'd love to see you, if you develop any symptoms please do not attend.
