In the summer of 2016, the seeds of a captivating story were sown as a small group of college students gathered in the lush campus garden to brainstorm plans for the upcoming year. Among them, Keston couldn't help but be drawn to the radiant presence of Kiana. As discussions unfolded, Keston found himself increasingly intrigued by Kiana's intelligence and humor. Emboldened by the blossoming interest, Keston decided to make a move and call her. However, fate played a playful hand when he discovered that the number on the contact information sheet was incorrect. Determined not to let this be a hurdle, Keston seized the opportunity over lunch the next day to connect with Kiana personally and obtain her correct phone number. Little did they know, this chance encounter would mark the beginning of a beautiful journey that transcended the seasons of college life.The narrative of Kiana and Keston unfolded like a beautiful novel, each chapter revealing a new layer to their connection. Fast-forward to the first day of classes, Keston's realization that Kiana was enrolled in the same Theology class as him sparked a turning point in their story. Concerned about her absence, Keston took the initiative to reach out, urging her to join him in class the following week. Despite being behind on homework, Kiana's worries were eased when Keston generously offered his help. Their journey together began in the college library, where hours turned into days as they tackled assignments and shared laughs. A deep friendship blossomed, and on Valentine's Day of 2017, the unspoken emotions between them surfaced. Kiana, contemplating her feelings, devised a plan for Keston to confess first. Their admission of mutual affection marked a significant moment, leading to their first date at the Cheesecake Factory. Their relationship continued to flourish, culminating in a summer beach trip where Keston formally asked Kiana to be his girlfriend. Post-college, they chose to build a life together in Maryland, navigating family introductions and celebrating milestones.&nbsp;Observing the flourishing success of their relationship, Keston found himself in a reflective moment. The depth of their connection, the shared laughter, and the support they provided each other had become an integral part of his life. It became evident that he couldn't imagine his future with anyone else. In that contemplative space, Keston felt a profound certainty that it was time for a significant and transformative step in their journey together. The idea of a shared life, filled with love and companionship, took root, and Keston knew he was ready to take the plunge into the next chapter of their story. On Christmas Day of 2021, surrounded by the warmth of the season, Keston knelt down and asked Kiana to spend the rest of her life with him, and she joyfully accepted, sealing their love with the promise of a shared future.

It was clear to me that he could withstand any challenge I threw his way, even adhering to the meticulously curated Christmas gift list. As he stepped into our Brooklyn home, he slipped into the role of a brother with ease. I know I can rely on him for anything; his unwavering support knows no bounds. While Kiana will always be my other half, apologies to Leo, I still turn to her as I did when I was just a toddler seeking comfort in her bed during thunderstorms. Their bond is unbreakable and truly admirable, and I feel honored to witness its growth and strength.

My favorite moments spent with Keston and Kiana were during their family vacations to Lancaster, Atlantic City, and Rehoboth Beach. One of the most memorable moments for me was the first time we decided to take on the challenge of playing the COD bots on the veteran difficulty setting, completely unaware of the level of intensity awaiting us. Throughout the entire game, all four of us were on edge, feeling the pressure and stress mounting with each passing moment. While we somehow managed to push through and even dared to attempt another round on the same difficulty later that day, the overwhelming stress of the experience is what truly etched it into our memories. My favorite memory with KG occurred during a camping trip at Pine Forge for Pathfinders, where we found ourselves caught in the midst of a storm. As the winds howled and the rain pelted down, we found ourselves clinging to the tent poles, determined to prevent its collapse. Despite the chaos unfolding around us, we found solace in each other's company, sharing jokes and laughter amid the storm. In moments of adversity, KG's steadfastness shines through; he has an innate ability to anchor those around him with unwavering support. That's simply who he is—steadfast, reliable, and always there when you need him.

Some of my absolute favorite memories with Kiana and Keston were when they introduced Trishelle and me to K-BBQ! Kiana and Keston have also included me in their family Christmas gift exchange. It meant the world to me, especially since I had expressed that I hadn't experienced such traditions with my own family.
