Doesn't everyone meet on the internet these days? No? Well...
Kiarah and Jordan never pictured that would happen to them, but they wouldn't have it any other way, knowing what they know now. Shout out to Tinder! They actually matched twice on Tinder, and Jordan will tell you the first swipe was lust, the second swipe was love - can't you tell he's the jokester in their relationship?
While their relationship started unexpectedly, it felt as if that's where they were meant to be all along. They will both tell you that Jordan might have fallen in love with Kiarah when they went on a day trip together in Chattanooga after only 3 weeks of knowing each other. The aquarium in Chattanooga is where Jordan found that Kiarah could match Jordan's great sense of humor, and even at times finish his jokes for him.
Throughout their early dating memories, Jordan truly swept Kiarah off her feet, blessing her with love that she had never experienced in her life. Kiarah knew she couldn't let this one go, because he was a true gentleman from the start. Meaning, Jordan was even the first to ever open Kiarah's car door for her, but Kiarah will tell you that's only because Jordan's Jeep doesn't have automatic locks and he does it because he has to. But Jordan says he didn't do it every time for anyone else, because he knew early on that Kiarah was the one.
In November of 2022, Kiarah and Jordan moved in together along with a fish, and two wonderful pit bulls that Kiarah would tell you she birthed herself. They both love the home and family they’ve started together. — From Kiarah, “Coming to a home at the end of the day, that Jordan has helped me create that is loving, welcoming, and peaceful - unless the dogs are going wild of course - has been the biggest blessing of my life. I always wanted someone who exemplified love, acceptance, and understanding through everyday of their life. Jordan is the PERFECT example of that.”
Jordan says, On my roughest days and happiest days, the thing I wanted more than anything was to be next to Kiarah. No matter what happens to me during the day, the week, the month, or year - as long as I can see Kiarah, I know I can get through it all. I love being in love with Kiarah and making her happy. And I want her for the rest of my life, and that was very clear early on.
Fast forward through many cherished memories, laughs, tears and good times, Jordan knew he wanted to propose to Kiarah even before a full year of dating. He gave Kiarah a promise ring for her 22nd birthday while on a weekend trip to Atlanta, that he promised he would replace one day with an engagement ring. And a few weeks before Kiarah's birthday, Jordan fulfilled that promise and surprised Kiarah by organizing an engagement with the help of her friend Nikki.
Kiarah had told Jordan that she got a discounted photoshoot booked that was supposed to look like and editorial wedding shoot with a photographer who was looking to broaden her portfolio - shoutout to Leah Bingham who took most of the photos you see here on the website. When Jordan found this out, he contacted Leah and made a plan to propose to Kiarah downtown at the Emporium in Knoxville after the photoshoot was to conclude. Jordan pulled off the surprise very well! Even stalling for a fake leg cramp, to let Leah and Nikki have time to set up everything perfect for Kiarah. Kiarah said yes - well duh she did, because if you've talked to Kiarah for the last year she's said I think the ring should be on the way soon, at least that's what I'm hoping!
Kiarah and Jordan look forward to the year long engagement they will have. Kiarah is definitely looking forward to the wedding planning, as some of you know that anything wedding related could make that girl sappy cry.
Jordan and Kiarah would like to express an extensive gratitude to all friends and family who have guided them to the life and love they’ve created together. They look forward to seeing each of you at the wedding in Sept. 2024!
