HI! My name is Kieran, I’m from Lawrence, Kansas, Hannah is from Virginia Beach — two people from opposite sides of the map, brought together by something bigger than chance.

In January 2022, Hannah was working a travel nurse contract in Austin, Texas when fate stepped in. One night at a bar called Bungalow, our paths crossed. From the moment I met her, I knew I had to see her again. I asked her out — more than once — but she was hesitant. In just three months, she would be moving back to Washington, D.C., and she didn’t want to start something she thought couldn’t last.

Eventually, Hannah agreed to go country dancing with me at The Broken Spoke. That night turned into another, and then another. Somewhere between two-stepping and late-night conversations, we realized something we thought would be fleeting started feeling a lot more like fate.

Even as her time in Austin grew short, our connection only deepened. Before she left, Hannah invited me to a concert in D.C. I said yes without a second thought.

On the last day of my trip, standing in the quiet of goodbye, I asked her if she believed we were meant to be.. She said yes!

A few weeks later, I flew back to D.C., helped her pack up her life (and her sweet dog Margot), and we made the 23-hour drive back to Austin together — a journey that marked the beginning of forever.
