Saturday, April 8th, 2023... Kiersten went out to dinner with friends where they chatted life, work, relationships, pets...the usual. Kiersten's love life was unexciting, and while talking about possible connections, Kimi mentioned her single, attractive boss. A minute later she was showing Kiersten a picture and got a very quick "he's cute! Give him my number!"

While Kiersten was expecting a text on Sunday, April 9th, knowing Kimi talked her up to Rob... Rob had other plans. Rob's first step was to consult the employee handbook to confirm there would be no negative consequence for dating a friend of an employee. After double (maybe triple) checking, he confirmed he was allowed to date Kiersten.

After a few days of fun, slightly reserved texting, the first date was on... April 15th. Rob picked K up, and they went to Sly Fox (the same place he would propose just 15 months later). They shared easy conversation, a lot of laughs, a soft pretzel, and a couple of drinks before going to location #2 for the night.... the apartment lobby to play pool! A little competition is something the two cannot turn down. So, after a couple games, Rob drove her home, kissed her goodnight, and both smiled giddily for the rest of the night. At 11:49pm, Rob texted Kimi "I appreciate you" so clearly all went well!

From there, it was a quick romance! Constant communication and always planning the next time they could see each other. Fun dates including golf, the Devon Horse Show, dinners, morning coffee walks, and much more. The two were meant to be, and have been happily together ever since!
