Our Story

Vance & I met the summer of 2016. He picked me up in the Subway parking lot after being dropped off by my best friend Lexi and little sister Klair in the "chick truck". If you know, you know why all of this in one setting was bound to embarrass me in some way, shape, or form. At one point I wasn't sure who was more nervous about this first date. I soon realized that it wasn't me, when looking down at Vance's speedometer reading 80 mph with nowhere to go. We find a place to eat (still our favorite!) and after 3 bites, he lets me know how full he is. I had to chuckle, because where I'm from nobody goes hungry and there was no way this 7 foot guy was full as I sat there devouring my 5th roll without even getting started on my meal yet. I'm not sure either of us have belly-laughed so much in so little time, as we did that night.

After our first date, it wasn't very often you would see us without each other, or should I say me not joining the guys for yet another shop night. We've been there for each other through some of the most memorable times in our lives. What started out as me becoming a "roommate" in a house full of men, soon became a place where we would start our family. In 2019 we welcomed the most precious, beautiful baby girl, Holland. Her personality and fashion will turn a head in every room. We spent countless hours renovating our house into a home, and when I tell you I have painted every single wall inside and out- I'm not lying.. Oh and maybe a few outlets too. Vance will make sure to tell you that it was me if you ask! In 2023 our twins, Ryatt and Clayton entered our chaotic world, or so we thought, that was until they arrived. Ryatt has the biggest heart and loves all the affection. It's a rare sight if you see him without a duck, truck, or bus in his hands; while Clayton would much rather be trying something he shouldn't be with a smirk on his face- If you see him someday on the TV show, Jackass- please know we're not surprised. We both have jobs that we love. Since high school, Vance has worked at Swartzrock Implement in Charles City and enjoys what he does. I started my own business "The Dirt" in 2024 and have recently became the event manager at the Floyd County Fairgrounds. This allows me the opportunity to spend time and raise my babies, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

For Vance & I, marriage wasn't a "right here, right now" kind of thing. We started our life a little differently and our biggest priority was our little family, so a wedding took the back seat. After 8 years, you could say I was a little surprised when he got down on one knee in September of 2024. My heart felt complete and I can't wait to share a last name with the people I love with my whole heart, and now it's time to celebrate!

We can't wait to share our special day with each and every one of you and we would like to thank you for being a part of our lives.

Cheers!
