Kierstin and Daniel met in the summer of 2021 at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Daniel had just graduated and begun coaching baseball at NWU, while Kierstin was heading into her senior year. With overlapping friend groups — thanks to Daniel’s time as an athlete and Kierstin’s role in the Athletic Training program — their paths crossed often. What started as casual time spent together quickly turned into something more, and they officially began dating in October of 2021.

After graduating in May of 2022, Kierstin moved to Omaha to attend the University of Nebraska Omaha for graduate school. Not long after, Daniel joined her, beginning their next chapter together in a new city. In June of 2023, they moved into a townhouse in Omaha with their two dogs, Easton and Patch — a home filled with laughter, busy schedules, and lots of dog chaos.
