Our Wedding

Our story began years ago, nearly 10 years ago in fact! Growing up, I played softball with Robert's sister, Alex. Our families saw each other often, but at that time, Robert was always "Alex's little brother." In high school, something clicked. We both began to notice how cute the other was and how we liked spending time together, but we were way too shy to say it. It took some back and forth, but we eventually began dating in 2016 (right when Alex stopped meddling!). Our first three dates were movie dates. After each film, we ended up staying late into the credits, not wanting to leave and say goodnight. It was like our previous hangouts, but having your feelings out in the open really changes things. Talk about chemistry! We continued on from there, through health challenges and even a cross-country move. Robert moved to Virginia in 2019, just before the pandemic. Being long distance during lockdown was challenging, but I ended up joining him there in 2021. Our solid foundation kept us together and forever rooting each other on. We kicked off my time in Virginia with a short cabin stay. Picture A-frame, loft, wooden deck, perched high in the Shenandoah Mountains. We watched a summer thunderstorm and admired the nature Virginia has to offer. Nearly four years later, after growing, learning, and loving our two kitties, we returned to that same cabin. Robert proposed to me there on December 29, 2024. It was such a full-circle moment. I said yes (obviously) and we began planning not just our wedding, but our move back to California. We knew home was where we wanted to be for our next steps in life! Now that we are back in town, we are so excited to celebrate with you, our family and friends. Nearly 10 years together and we're ready to sign up for a lifetime!

Alex is one of Robert's older sisters and also one of Kierstyn's long time best friends. She has been a huge source of support for both the bride and groom, and even probably helped get them together! This picture of her and Kierstyn is from 2014, but they've been friends for much longer.

Malenna is another one of Kierstyn's long time best friends. She and Kierstyn grew up as neighbors and have remained close friends even from across state lines.

Karsynne is Kierstyn's little sister and Kierstyn has known her her whole life! She and Kierstyn have tons of memories growing up, laughing, supporting, and sometimes teasing each other!

Michael (aka Brewer) is one of Robert's long time best friends and has been a great friend to both the bride and groom. He and Robert have gotten into lots of shenanigans and always stuck together through it all.

James is Robert's brother in law through his eldest sister, Jasmine. James has become a brother to Robert and is also always down for a kickass time.

Rafe is Robert's younger brother, and as it turns out, Robert has known him his whole life. Kierstyn and Robert both have seen the baby king grow up and shared many memories together.
