On January 2nd, 2021, Kiki made a trip to New York with a friend to look for a place to live in preparation for her move to Manhattan. To Kiki's surprise, her friend had invited some people from Long Island to spend the day with them. Although she was not thrilled, because she had a busy day of apartment shopping ahead, Kiki agreed to meet with them.

Early that morning, Jesse had to convince his friends to accompany him to the city. This was no easy task after they had all just spent the day before ringing in the new year. After a little convincing and some egg sandwich bribery tactics, they agreed to go with him and headed toward Manhattan early in the afternoon.

When Jesse and his friends arrived to the city, they began to walk toward the meet up location, where they could see Kiki patiently waiting. As Jesse got closer, he began to realize that this mystery girl was becoming more and more beautiful with every step he took. When the group reached Kiki and her friend, Jesse was instantly mesmerized. He greeted the girl who accompanied her to the city, and whispered in her ear, "I am going to marry your friend." Immediately after, Jesse introduced himself to Kiki, to which he was greeted with a beautiful smile from ear to ear. (It was obvious Jesse wasn't the only one who was interested!)

In what was supposed to be a busy day of apartment shopping for Kiki, quickly turned into a full day of the two getting to know each other. Within an hour of meeting, the group of friends were convinced that Jesse and Kiki had known each other for years. The more they learned about each other the more this felt to be true.

It did not take long for infatuation to turn into love and the two became inseparable when Kiki made her move to the Big Apple. Fast forward two and a half years, the love they shared led them to one of the most important days of their lives. On May 6th, 2023, Jesse proposed to the love of his life, Kiki, with all of their friends and family present. (It is said that if you listened hard enough you could hear murmurs in the background of “it’s about time!”)

On October 12th, 2024, Kiki and Jesse will be getting married with all of you, our closest friends and family, in attendance. On that day, this love story will be complete as Jesse keeps his promise that he whispered the first time he laid eyes on his beautiful bride to be!
