Mike and Kiley's story began in 2020, like many others' during a global pandemic, with a swipe on Tinder. Both confined to their homes, they scrolled through potential matches until fate intervened, and they found each other. Mike took the initiative, breaking the ice with a Star Wars joke, knowing Kiley's fondness for the franchise from her profile.

After two weeks of chatting, Kiley took the plunge and asked Mike out on their first date. Despite the ongoing pandemic, they chose to meet at World of Beer on Lake Eola, opting for a leisurely stroll, a drink, and a slice of pizza.

Their first date blossomed into a month of carefully paced encounters, allowing them to delve into each other's lives and relish each other's company. Fast forward a year and by April 2021, they found themselves on a trip to Denver, their favorite destination, where a seemingly innocuous question about their anniversary revealed the depth of their connection—May 25, 2020, etched in Mike's memory as the day they became official.

In August 2021, following a family excursion to White Oak Reserve, Mike told Kiley, he was in love with her. From there, their love story unfolded swiftly. A month later, Kiley moved into the barn house in Winter Park, marking the beginning of their shared life, complete with Cody the Cat. A year later, Caroline the Cat joined their growing family, amidst a bustling property of horses, dogs, and barn cats.

Their relationship thrived on shared passions, from their joint travels to destinations like Colorado, Canada, and Scotland, to their mutual interests in lacrosse, Marvel, and Star Wars. Through Mike's educational pursuits and Kiley's professional transitions, they supported each other unwaveringly, culminating in a decision to transition from barn life to a condo near Lake Underhill.

As they were on their journey to Scotland in July 2023, fate intervened once more atop Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, where Mike proposed, and Kiley joyously accepted.
