Q + A

What is the dress code?

We want all our friends and family feeling their best and dressed for a party! The official dress code is formal/black tie, however, all colored dresses and suits are welcome. Black tie in our case means floor length/midi length gowns and full suits/tuxes.

Are kids invited?

Our wedding and reception will be adults-only. While we love your little ones we want each and every guest to enjoy themselves without any additional responsibility that night. It's a great excuse for a date night and baby sitter! If you are coming from out of town and would like recommendations for a trusted baby-sitter, please reach out to me, Kiley, as I would be happy to connect you with options.

Where do I park?

There is a large parking lot on site with ample parking and also handicap spots close by the door.

When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by October 15th. If you have a unique situation or any questions feel free to reach out to us directly.

Can I bring a guest?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. We all know the drill by now but I respect your persistence.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

While we do ask that you unplug and enjoy the ceremony fully present, if you happen to snap a quick picture as a keepsake, we prefer you do so discretely and stay completely out of the isles when doing so. We invested in an amazing photographer who will be capturing our wedding photos from all the best angles and I promise you her photos will be better than yours, respectfully.

What are we having for dinner?

If you know Michael and I, you know we love to eat and will surely be prioritizing food at our wedding. We will be having passed appetizers at cocktail hour, then a plated salad with rolls at each table when the reception starts, and finally a full buffet to get people fed as efficiently as possible. There will also be a dessert table with to-go boxes.

Will there be transporation/ubers available from the hotel to the venue?

YES! We want all our guests to have a blast and eat/drink as much as they want but as safely as possible. If you are staying at our hotel block, we will have shuttles to the ceremony and also back to the hotel after the reception. If you are local and planning to uber, they will be available as the venue is only about 20 minutes outside of Columbus. However, scheudling an Uber to ensure you have a ride is always a good option if you plan to stay late.

Is the ceremony indoor or outdoor?

The ceremony will be inside. We know December temperatures can be unpredictable so we have opted for an indoor ceremony. We will have a coat check at the front to store your coat/jackets during the night.

What time should I arrive?

Because the ceremony begins promptly at 4 pm, we recommend you aim to arrive earliest at 3:30 and latest 3:50 pm to ensure you are seated in time.

Will there be an open bar?

Duh.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same place?

Yes! The ceremony and reception are in the same room so we will be hosting cocktail hour in a separate room while we flip for the reception.
