What is the vaccination requirement?
Because we and a many of our guests are at higher risk, we need everyone in attendance to be fully vaccinated if they are eligible (meaning if you are over 5 years old, and you do not have a condition that makes you ineligible to receive the vaccine). Fully vaccinated means two doses (or one if J&J) plus boosters.
How do I provide my proof of vaccination?
If you are planning to attend, please send us proof of vaccination for everyone in your party by emailing a digital record from your vaccine provider, or a photo of your vaccine card to McLaughlinWeissVax@gmail.com. If you are in California, you can send your CDPH QR code (myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov). Will we be required to wear a mask?
At this time we will not be requiring masks, since all guests will be vaccinated and boosted. However, if this changes leading up to the big day we will contact you with updated safety precautions.
What will the weather be like?
May is usually beautiful in Boston—flowers will be blooming, and the temperature should be in the mid to high 60's. If you're wearing something sleeveless, it will probably be a good idea to bring a light sweater or shawl just in case.
What should I wear?
The attire is formal, whatever that means to you. We mainly want you to be comfortable, feel festive, and have fun (no jeans, though, please).
Where is the ceremony/reception?
Both will be held at the Lyman Estate in Waltham, MA. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors on the estate, weather permitting, before moving indoors for dining and dancing.
Is there parking at the venue?
There is ample parking on the estate and it is free of charge. We do recommend carpooling or getting a Lyft/Uber/cab if you can. Let us know if you need help arranging transportation.
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where can I stay?
While we are not reserving a block of rooms at a particular hotel, there are many options for accommodations within driving distance of the venue. Please see the "Travel" page, where we recommend some specifics.
