Way back in 2017, Tay was about to go back to Northern to finish his final semester of school when he went to his friend Jake Devries's house to skate with the guys. This turned into a trip to Logan's Alley for a couple beers. This is where he met Kiley. Both of them were too shy to really get to know each other, but this night left a lasting impression for both of them.

Fast forward a few months later, Tay returned from Northern for a weekend in Grand Rapids. Kiley was out with her girlfriends at her favorite bar - Stella's Backroom (RIP). When she spotted him walking in, she excitedly told her friends that the "Hot Tall Guy" was here and made a promise that she would talk with him this time. After dancing together all night, they exchanged numbers and this is where their story began.

They started talking everyday, but with 6 1/2 hours between each other, long distance was their only option. They would split their time by meeting in Charlevoix, Tay returning to GR, or Kiley going to Northern to pretend she was still in college.

When Tay graduated from Northern Michigan, he moved back to Grand Rapids. From that point on Kiley & Tay were inseparable.
