Our Wedding

How It All Began We believe in God’s perfect timing—because that’s exactly how this story started. One night, I (Kim) was casually scrolling on Facebook when I saw a photo of the most handsome man in the “People You May Know” section. His name was Stephen, and I instantly thought, He looks like he needs a wife... and I might be her. Lol. We had mutual friends, so I sent him a friend request—and not long after, he slid into my messages first. (Yep, the bold move was actually his!) My response may have been embarrassingly LinkedIn-esque (“I’m always open to expanding my network…” yikes), but somehow it worked. We started chatting, and soon met up for Mexican food on our first date. Turns out, he loved Jesus and tacos... and I knew then—I could marry this man. The Heart of Us From the beginning, Stephen’s steady presence and quiet wit had me completely at ease. He’s a man of deep character, and being with him just felt right—like I could be fully myself, quirks and all. He made me feel seen, loved, and absolutely cherished. Our love story is full of laughter, adventure, and the little moments that make life sweet—whether we’re dancing barefoot in the kitchen, sipping coffee at a new local spot, hiking mountain trails, or he’s just rolling his eyes while I tell another one of my quirky jokes. Every moment with him is a reminder that love can be both fun and deeply meaningful.We both walked through seasons of waiting and wondering before finding each other, but God, in His grace, brought our hearts together in His perfect timing. Stephen has led our relationship with prayer and purpose, and through every step, we’ve seen God’s fingerprints all over our story. The Proposal Stephen took me to the mountains—one of my favorite places—on a chilly day in December. I had zero clue what was coming. In fact, I called my mom that morning to say I didn’t think it was happening that day because I didn’t believe he had asked my dad yet. (Spoiler alert: he had.) That afternoon, we arrived at a cozy mountain restaurant I loved—only to find out it was closing early for a wedding. My heart sank a little. If it was going to happen, I thought, this must’ve been the spot… and now it wasn’t.But Stephen had other plans. We headed to downtown Dahlonega, which was glowing with Christmas lights and bustling with holiday crowds. After walking the square, he pointed out a spot he said looked perfect for a picture—under a dreamy archway of lights. As we posed, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Strangers clapped, lights sparkled, and his brother and sister-in-law (who had been hiding the whole time) captured every moment on camera. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any more magical, Stephen surprised me with a celebration dinner—surrounded by both of our families at (of course) a Mexican restaurant. Forever Starts Here Our love story is full of grace, laughter, and answered prayers—and we give all the glory to the One who wrote it. Jesus has been faithful every step of the way. “Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” —Psalm 37:4
