What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues?
The ceremony and reception will both be held at The Tinsmith, 828 E Main St, Madison, WI 53703.
What is the easiest way to get to and from the venue?
The easiest way to get to The Tinsmith is to drive. Rideshare options (Uber, Lyft, etc) are a convenient way to travel quickly around Madison. For our guests who would rather drive themselves, we recommend the 700 East Parking structure at 201-299 S Livingston St, Madison, WI 53703, which is only a block away from The Tinsmith. There is also limited street parking near The Tinsmith.
What's the wedding itinerary?
Our wedding will take place at The Tinsmith on May 16th, 2025. The ceremony will begin at 4:30PM sharp, followed by cocktail hour and the reception, which is anticipated to wrap around 11:00PM.
What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?
The doors to the venue will open one hour ahead of our ceremony time at 4:30PM. We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony space (located about a 5-minute walk from the parking lot) and find a seat.
Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
A 60-minute cocktail hour will take place between the ceremony and reception where you can enjoy cocktails, mocktails, small bites and a photo booth.
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Our dress code is cocktail attire.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding will be entirely indoors, but there is an outdoor patio space that will be available during the cocktail hour and reception.
What is the weather and climate like in the area?
The weather in Madison in May is mildly cool and slightly windy, with average highs of 69°F (21°C) and lows of 48°F (9°C).
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
We'll be serving cheese, fruit, and vegetable crudite at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entree. There will be a chicken, beef and gluten-free/nut-free/vegan option available.
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
We plan on having an entree choice that's vegan, gluten and nut free to accommodate guests with dietary restrictions. Our cocktail hour appetizers will also all be clearly marked if they are allergy friendly (and there will be multiple allergy-friendly options). If you have additional restrictions that go beyond what we've listed here, please let us know in the designated section of your digital RSVP. We want you to feel comfortable and well fed!
Will there be an open bar?
There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception until 10pm. After that time, we will switch to a cash bar, so be sure to bring a credit card or wallet!
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We kindly ask that you keep our wedding ceremony "unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos during the ceremony. We want our guests to truly be in the moment with us during this special day.
Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?
We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding that are not already included in your RSVPs. If you have any questions or issues with your RSVP, please contact me (Kim) by text at 412-720-2048 or by email at kimhuggler@gmail.com.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
We love your children, but we cannot accommodate guests under age 10.
Could you give me a link to your wedding registry?
You can find our complete wedding registry here on our website (and purchase directly from our wish list) under the "Registry" tab.
Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our apartment at 115 S Mills St, Apt 319, Madison, WI 53715. A wedding card box will be at our reception.
