Ethan and I met on match.com.

I thought he had really nice eyes, so I "winked" at him to get the ball rolling.

We chatted for a while until I slightly (completely) ghosted him because I was still hurting from how I was treated in a prior relationship, and I was not used to actually being treated right.

I did end up messaging him again after my mom told me to "give him a chance." At which point she also said,"I'm gonna laugh if you guys end up being together. " Oh, how right she was :)

We officially became a couple on July 21st of 2015. He awkwardly asked me to be his girlfriend in the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot in Monticello. I pretended not to understand what he was asking me in order to have him actually say, "Will you be my girlfriend?" and not just "you wanna?"

Long story short we have been together for over 9 years now and I honestly cannot believe that I ever doubted the intentions of this man. I am so incredibly thankful that everything worked out for us.
