Common Questions❓

Where is the Wedding At?

The Wedding is at our Home in Grand Junction, CO.

Do you only want gifts from your registry?

Of course not! The registry is a list of things we like and want, but it's not all-inclusive. We also welcome hugs, notes, cards, words of endearment, homemade goods, and most of all, your presence. And of course, if you don't bring a gift, you'll have to stay and do the dishes. LOL (Wink wink)

When does the actual ceremony start?

The Ceremony starts at 6pm, There will be pre-food and drinks between 430-6pm.

What should I wear?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal to casual with a garden theme. Please bring mosquito spray and a jacket or sweater in case you get cold.

Where do we park?

Guests will have to find parking on our residential neighborhood street. We kindly request that our guests not park in front of our neighbors' driveways. If you park farther out, we will provide a shuttle service to transport you to and from the ceremony and reception. We will post the number to call for this service on the main homepage and under the parking tab on our website. Please check back often for updates. Thank you and we appreciate you!

Are you serving dinner?

Yes we are providing a pulled pork dinner after the Ceremony.

Why is your Wedding on a Thursday?

We originally planned to have our wedding at a different venue, but it was only available and much cheaper on a Thursday. Unfortunately, Kim had to have two knee surgeries this summer, so we had to move the wedding to our home. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because a home wedding feels more personal, and they are also trending this year! So, we are apparently in style!

Do I need to bring cash for drinks?

We are providing the drinks for free, but we would appreciate your help with tipping the "Tipsy Trailer" if you are having an adult beverage. We will also have a Soda Bar with soda and specialty non-alcoholic drinks that does not require tipping.

Where are you going on Honeymoon?

Our honeymoon is going to be a road trip. We'll start at a cabin near Glenwood Springs, which was donated by Ashley and Garrett Grieger. After that, we'll just see where the road takes us! Do you have any suggestions for places we should visit? We love adventure and exploring.

Where are you registered at?

Our registry is here on the Knot website which is a free source available to newly weds. We are registered at multiple stores such as Amazon, The Pottery Barn, Etsy, The Knot Cash Funds and Travelers Joy. The knot merges all the stuff we have picked from these stores onto one easy to find place under the registry tab where you can view and purchase the items.

What kind of Ceremony are you having?

We are getting married without an officiant or witnesses. This is legal in Colorado and some other states, but we do need to purchase a marriage license. My brother, Chris Pierce, will preside over the ceremony and offer a few words.

Who will be at your wedding?

We will have many different types of people of different cultures, religions, ideas and political parties at our wedding. We love diversity and we love all of you! We ask that everyone please be respectful of each other. Life would be boring if we were all the same. Discovering and meeting new people helps us appreciate each other and work better together. Spread Love.
