Chris and I met at breakfast in August of 2013, the morning after moving in to our college dorms. He was the first new person I met; it was meant to be!

We became friends first, and soon developed feelings for each other. The funny thing is, I was oblivious about his feelings, and he was oblivious about mine, but literally everyone else knew because it was very obvious we liked each other!

After a couple of months, he got a hint from a friend, and asked me out. On our first date, we got ice cream and just talked for 2 hours. We went on several more dates before deciding we wanted to officially be boyfriend & girlfriend in December of 2013.

In the years since, we've gone on many dates, and attended numerous family holidays, vacations, weddings, etc. together. It was obvious we were in this for the long haul!

People have teased us for years about when we would get married, but we weren’t in a rush. We’ve known for a long time that we would get married, but first we wanted to do some growing up, and get to a more stable place in life.

And then in December 2022, while on a Patton family vacation in India, we had a candle-lit dinner on a private balcony of our hotel, overlooking the Taj Mahal. He proposed after dessert, and of course, I said yes! Afterwards, we met his family downstairs, where I called my family to tell them the good news. I remember my face hurting from smiling so much that night 😄

We are so excited to begin the next chapter of our lives together, and to share such a special day with all of you ❤️
