As many people of this generation do, Nick and I met on a dating app called "Bumble." Our first date was on August 18, 2019, which we consider our anniversary, and we attended a Yankee Game and then ate at Dinosaur BBQ in the city. Although the Yankees lost that day, we knew that we both had won. We both knew from that day that this would be going somewhere, but did not know exactly where.
We saw each other many times throughout that first week, (the second date Nick bought my dogs treats, which obviously won me over) and oddly enough by our 3rd date, (which was only a few days later lol), I knew he was the one. I proceeded to catch the bouquet the night after at my MOH Christina's wedding, and here we are getting married 4 years later!
Three weeks after meeting I already had my tickets booked for our first trip together to Portugal, and since then we've traveled different parts of the world together and never looked back! We can't wait for our honeymoon to Italy! Traveling was actually what we connected over in our very first conversation online, and Nick called me his "future travel partner" in his very first text to me, so it's only fitting to travel to Italy for our honeymoon, where both of our families originate.
Since Nick and I knew fairly early on that this was meant to be, I moved into Nick's house that he had just purchased a few weeks prior to the pandemic, and honestly, it was the best time for the move, really getting to spend quality time together at home. Nick was able to jump right in to being the best dog dad to my 3 pups, a title he now owns proudly.
After a little less than 3 years together, Nick proposed in Piermont, NY by the water near our house and we spent the night with some of our closest friends and family.
Anniversary dates have always been very important to me, so we will be getting married a day after our dating anniversary, leaving that weekend to always be very special to us.
We are so fortunate to have all of you in our lives, and can't wait to celebrate with all of you!!
