From the Pacific Northwest to the desert landscapes of Arizona, paths converged in Tucson, where Nate and Kim pursued their degrees at the University of Arizona.

Nate, hailing from Camas, WA, rediscovered his passion for sports and joined the Men's Club Soccer team, forging friendships that would shape his college years. Little did he know, this decision would lead him to Kim, who from nearby Gilbert, AZ, shared mutual friends with the team, including Mac Merchant, a dear friend who would eventually officiate their wedding.

One fateful night, amidst the vibrant energy of HiFi, a local bar in Tucson, destiny intervened. Kim spotted Nate, affectionately known as the "the guy with the trees on his arm," and vowed to strike up a conversation before the evening's ends. Fueled by a bit of liquid courage, their meeting unfolded into a night of laughter and dancing.

Their initial encounter sparked a connection that only grew stronger with each subsequent meeting. Their bond was solidified during a Spring Break trip to Rocky Point, Mexico, where they watched the late-night waves crash along the shore.

As college life evolved into careers, and aspirations took them to different cities- Nate to San Francisco and Kim to pursue nursing in Phoenix- their bond remained steadfast. Recognizing their deepening love, Nate formallly ased Kim to be his girlfriend on a memorable summer day in 2018.

Despite the distance, their love grew stronger with each flight, phone call, and FaceTime session. Eventually, Nate made the courageous decision to uproot his life for love, moving to Tempe, AZ, where they could finally nurture their relationship without miles between them.

Their journey reached a pinnacle in the picturesque beauty of Denver, CO, on their fifth anniversary. Amidst the stunning Rocky Mountains, Nate proposed to Kim, surrounded by loved ones who shared in their joyous moment.

Now, as they prepare to walk down the aisle, they reflect on their journey- from that serendipitous meeting at HiFi to overcoming the challenges of long-distance love. They can't wait to celebrate their wedding day with all of you, surrounded by laughter, dancing, and a full bar, just as their love story began!
