We've been asked this one a few times. Sorry, we aren't registered anywhere.
Unfortunately, due to issues with liability, Brew Donkey is unable to allow children on the beer tour. Let us know if this is a problem, we can try and see if we can assist in finding a babysitter!
Weather permitting the party can extend to our backyard and we do plan to have a fire going for warmth. However, we recognize that it may be chilly at night, and you're more than welcome to spend your time indoors as well.
The ceremony will be outside on the deck overlooking Meech Lake. Following the ceremony we will be spending the remainder of the evening inside.
Well of course this will be outside! However, if Mother Nature doesn't treat us kindly, we will find a shorter hike or make some indoor plans on the fly.
We have arranged a shuttle between Le Germain and the Alt to the wedding venue. All guests can take the shuttle, and you don't have to be staying at one of the hotels.
Shuttle schedule:
Depart the Alt hotel at 3:30 pm, and stop at Le Germain after this
Arrive at O'Brien House at approximately 4:00-4:15 pm
Depart O'Brien House at 11:00 pm and 1:00 am with drop off at both hotels
Taxis can be called to O'Brien House.
Taxi Loyal 819-663-5252
Please note, Uber or Lyft do no do pick-ups in Gatineau (although they will drop off here from Ottawa).
There is free parking onsite at O'Brien House.
However, if you drive, please don't do so intoxicated.
We've chosen to go with a strolling style dinner for the wedding. What this means is there isn't assigned seating and a sit down meal. We wanted to create an atmosphere conducive to mixing and mingling.
But don't fret , you will not be hungry! Throughout the night there will be lots of delicious food . From passed canapés, food stations, dessert and late night snacks; there will be something for everyone.
Why of course!
...because Jamie wouldn't have it any other way.
The Rock Steadies are sure to have us up and dancing.
We are planning to hike Wolf trail. This is a 8.3 km trail (approximately 3 hours) in the Gatineau Park. It is moderately steep in some parts (220 meters of elevation), but affords great views of the Ottawa Valley. Dogs are permitted on leash, and Lois is planning on joining.
We will likely aim to start around 1 pm.

If the weather isn't cooperating, we will plan to do a shorter hike or come up with a last minute indoor option.
