The story begins in middle school, first meeting at a youth group event in a church gymnasium. A 20+ year friendship developed through church trips, mutual friend events and the occasional awkward kickball game. Jordan chased stardom on the soccer field while Kim focused on dance competitions.

Fast forward a few years to after college, Jordan gets a job in Boston and sends out a Facebook blast asking for couches to crash on. Kim was on the lookout for a hiking buddy during COVID and fate was on their side. The two quickly re-established their friendship while exploring the Blue Hills and the Harvard Arboretum as escapes from a locked down world.

Eventually, Jordan worked up the courage to ask Kim on a date and Kim wisely responded "let me talk to my therapist first." Two weeks later, they were on a first date in a New England winter. In order to keep it a surprise, the only hint Jordan gave was that they were "eskimos on an espionage mission." Kim hates surprises so she quickly figured out this meant dinner in an igloo followed by a scavenger hunt where the clues were riddles around Gloucester. With their step goals met and several bowls of clam chowder sampled, they shared their first kiss at the Dog Bar lighthouse.

With their relationship growing so too did the distances they travelled. From their very first trip to wine country and Yosemite, they caught the travel bug and quickly found themselves venturing to locations as far as the Arctic Circle in Norway. This includes their annual "trip around the world" in Disney World.

Next came...Teddy! After moving in together and keeping all the house plants alive, Jordan and Kim took the big step of becoming puppy parents. Teddy has since brought so much joy and a few new anxieties. They can no longer imagine life without the sound of running paws and the jingle of a collar following them from room to room because it always leads to puppy kisses.

He finally did it! After months of Kim not so subtly hinting at the desire to get married, Jordan made her travel to Scotland and hike a mountain before asking for her hand. While setting up a GoPro for what Kim thought was yet another selfie, she realized he had set it to video mode. When she looked back to question him, she found Jordan on his knee, opening a little blue box. And you all know how she replied ... YES!
