Itās a classic millennial tale⦠Kimberly and Greg met on the ol' dating apps. After eons of swiping, they landed on each other and a match was made.
Greg asked Kimberly out to a local Italian restaurant, but what he didnāt know at the time was that it happened to be her favourite restaurant in the city. Off to a great start, they went on their first date. They immediately hit it off, and even though Kimberly was so nervous that she barely touched her pasta, they both agreed it was truly the best date theyāve ever been on.
Neither of them wanted the evening to end, so they wandered over to Cold Garden brewery for a drink. On the walk over, Greg reached for Kimberlyās hand ā a small gesture that made her feel butterflies but also completely at ease. They shared many stories and belly laughs, and by the end of the night, they both knew they absolutely wanted to see each other again.
For their second date, Greg suggested they return to that same brewery ā this time to paint Easter eggs. He knew how much Kimberly loved art, and it meant so much that he remembered.
Kimberly and Greg have held onto those cherished painted eggs to this day, and have since created so many more beautiful, quirky, and meaningful memories together.
Over the last year and a half, Kimberly and Greg have gotten to know each other in all their forms. Gregās accepted Kimberās love affair with all things pink and Kimber has powered through watching Lord of the Rings, Twin Peaks, and a few other all-time faves.
When Kimberly sold her condo after about half a year of dating, she moved in with Greg into his basement rental where they lived for several months until they ditched the bachelor pad and moved into a townhouse together (much to Kimberlyās relief).
With both Kimberly and Greg being so family oriented, it was no surprise that they fit into each other's families seamlessly, and the same can be said for their friend groups.
Many adventures have been had, including countless road trips, weddings of family and friends, and convincing Kimberly to go camping (reluctant at first, but now sheās a fan!)
Safe to say, itās going pretty well for the happy couple! On May 2nd 2025, Greg popped the question at their home with tons of lit candles (so many that Greg had to cover the smoke alarm) and bouquets of flowers. Along with Kimberās surprise and joy, she gleefully said yes. Not like sheās been dreaming about this day or planning her wedding since she was 15 years old or anything!
Aside from all the wedding planning, Greg and Kimberly have been settling into their home, binge watching TV shows together, making Greg try all of her experimental baking, playing games, and going on walks in Confederation Park.
They also have big plans to go to East Africa in February, an adventurous pre honeymoon you could say! With Greg being the big travel bug he is, this will be the first of many trips!
Kimberly and Greg are so excited for all their future travels together, spending quality time with family and friends, making each other laugh beyond measure, and as cheesy as it sounds, happily growing old together.
