Kim and Adam met on a Saturday night in February 2015, when they were both out with friends at a bar in Boston called the Harp. It was a place they both frequented often in their twenties. They had some of their best nights there, but that night easily topped them all.

After talking to only each other most of the night, Adam asked Kim for her number. A few days later they went on their first date, and both quickly realized they found their perfect sarcastic match.

...fast forward 7 years…

In Spring 2022, Kim and Adam had a trip planned to Europe - first to Portugal on their own, then to Switzerland with Kim’s parents to visit her Aunt Renee and Uncle Harry.

When they arrived in Portugal, Adam was being very protective of his backpack and didn’t want to put their stuff in the hotel safe or let the staff in to clean. So Kim figured he probably had a ring with him.

They spent 5 days exploring the city of Lisbon and surrounding areas - taking in the sights, eating delicious food, and drinking tons of vinho verde, then it was off to Switzerland.

Switzerland is basically right out of a fairytale, it's so beautiful. And therefore with every picture they took, Kim thought “Maybe he's proposing...there couldn’t be a more perfect location.” 1000 photos later, and no ring.

On their very last day, Renee and Harry took them all to Château de Chillon, a beautiful castle on Lake Geneva. After touring the castle - and climbing a million steps - Kim and Adam walked down to the edge of the lake to get a photo. As they were getting ready to take the picture, Kim thought “it’s now or never.” And…it wasn’t now.

Afterward they drove into the town of Montreux to find a spot to have a drink. While walking along Lake Geneva in search of a place, Adam unexpectedly dropped down to one knee, catching Kim fully by surprise, and popped the question. It was perfect!
