First come first serve for room block. PLEASE MAKE RESERVATIONS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Individual reservations must be made by the cut-off date of Thursday, October 3, 2024 in order for the group rate to be honored. A credit card will be required from individuals booking their own rooms. A deposit for the first night’s room and tax will be automatically processed on the individual’s card 72 hours prior to arrival. Payment for the remaining balance is due in full upon check-in. If needed, reservations must be canceled no less than 72 hours prior to arrival. If canceled within 72 hours of arrival, payment for the first night’s room & tax is non-refundable. Reservations must be made by the cut-off date of Thursday, October 3, 2024 in order for the group rate to be honored. Any rooms that have not been picked up under the block by the cut-off date will be released back into the Hotel’s general inventory and regular rates will apply. The courtesy block may be extended based on availability and only by request from the Group and approval from the Hotel.

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT

Check in time is 4:00 PM. It is unlikely rooms will be available prior to that time. Check out time is 11:00 AM. If a guest wishes to guarantee an early check-in, the guest must reserve the room for the previous night.

PARKING

The parking lot offers one space for each guest room occupied over-night at the Hotel. Tides Folly Beach does

not allow fifth wheels and/or buses, boats and/or trailers in the property parking areas without prior approval from management. The parking lot is not available for event attendees not staying at the Hotel overnight. There is street parking and lots available nearby on a first come, first serve basis.

About Us

Paul Lauer is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. He moved to Folly Beach, South Carolina in 1997 and founded CDI Homes. While working as a developer and living on Folly Beach, he discovered the need for upscale overnight accommodations and began constructing Waters Edge Inn, which opened its doors in March 2007. Since then, Water’s Edge Inn has become a premier Folly Beach hotel, offering a comfortable yet elegant beach experience. Created around the concept of offering premier customer service full of unexpected surprises and personal touches, a stay at Water’s Edge Inn is sure to be memorable.

Paul lives on-site and enjoys mingling with the guests. He also works as a Folly Beach Firefighter and spends his free time with his two children.
