One does not simply walk into Marriage.

How we met!

Both of us were looking for a second chance of love. After much talking we had gone on a date, to which I thought he was going to not show up for. To put this in context, Joe had texted me stating he was going to get an oil change before meeting me for lunch. I was nervous to start with, texting my friend what if he doesn’t show. Well I was there waiting for him, and he told me he was on the way cause he had gotten a new truck. I didn’t believe it, I thought he wasn’t showing up. Well I was very wrong, he did show, there was a new truck, and it was the best first date ever.

The Road of Dating

There were many first that had happened in our dating timeframe. New foods were made and tried. Day trips, traveling, meeting each others friends and family. Joe of course was smooth as butter meeting new people and making friends. I on the other hand was nervous mess. We had many easy times, and hard times together which had made us a stronger couple. There was a selling of one house, buying of another house, and making more memories for both of us.

The High Sea of Dreams!

We were on a cruise with some of our best friends, which was a trip we all were excited for. All had nerves if we were going to make it on the ship. Others just wanted to get on the ship to hell with anyone else. Later I would find out it was due to the ring being in our friends bag and someone was freaking he wouldn’t get on the boat.

The first night we were on the ship, we were going to our captains dinner. To be fair, looking back the whole first night was a fast mess of fun and first times! We had dinner and was enjoying the meal I thought something was odd, cause after the dessert and drinks, my friend says we are ready for drinks and dessert. They left after a short time waiting for the waiter come back with the waiter and there is a piece of cake with a “Will you marry me?”written on it and Joe down one knee. To say I was shocked was the understatement of the year, I had never felt so happy, so excited, and so wondering if the Bahamas Mama’s had kicked in and I was dreaming. It was a rush of hugs from our friends and whisked away to get sashes and going from I’m on a cruise with my boyfriend to I’m on a cruise with my fiancé.
