What identification is needed to get from the US to Canada?
(1)If you plan to fly from the United States to Canada - a valid US Passport or Passport Card will be required
(2)If you plan to fly to Buffalo and drive across the border to Canada - your Real ID will NOT be acceptable as a form of identification to cross into Canada. You would need a valid US Passport or Passport Card
(3)If you are a NYS Resident and plan to drive across the border to Canada - EITHER a valid US Passport or Passport Card -OR- a valid Enhanced License is required
(4)If you are a resident of another state and plan to drive across the border to Canada - again a Real ID is not acceptable form of identification - you will need a valid US Passport or Passport Card will be required
What are the closest airports to Niagara-on-the-Lake?
The Buffalo International Airport is 38 miles (approximately 50 minutes) from the venue. The Toronto Pearson International Airport is 73 miles (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes) from the venue. Guests will experience more traffic traveling to/from Toronto.
I am planning to fly in - which airport has more options?
Toronto/Pearson Intl Airport will give most out-of-town guests more direct flight options. You will also benefit from the currency exchange rate as the USD is currently stronger than the CAD.
What is the weather typically like in October in Niagara-on-the-Lake?
Fall in NOTL is typically cool at night (low 50s F) and moderate during the day (mid to upper 60s F)- however depending on the seasonal pattern, this could vary.
How should I plan to dress based on the Fall Season in Niagara-on-the-Lake?
If weather allows, the ceremony and dinner will be held outdoors. If there is no precipitation and the temperature is cool, we will have patio heaters. We would recommend having a light jacket if needed. In addition, the ceremony will be near the vineyard so the ground will be soft/grass. Please keep this in mind when choosing lady's footwear!
Will there be a block of rooms reserved?
Our venue is partnered with Vintage Hotels. There is a room block at The Prince of Wales for $410-$500 CAD per night. The Prince of Wales room block must be reserved by 8/25/25.
In addition, there is a room block at The Hilton Garden Inn in Niagara on the Lake for $239 CAD per night. The Hilton Garden Inn room block must be reserved by 9/25/25. More information on booking the room block or alternative lodging can be found on the Travel page of our website.
What is the dress code?
Cocktail attire is preferred. Dress to impress—think suits, jumpsuits, or party-ready dresses.
