Two people went to the same high school, and even had many mutual friends, but only knew each other in passing and had one conversation in the hallways that they remember. Many timey wimey years later....they meet again at their friend Rohans birthday party. Kim had driven with her friend Amy with the plans of not staying long/the night, but Josh offered to drive her home if Amy would like to head out. About a week later, Kim got the courage to ask him out in a roundabout way of I owe you a beer/food as a thank you for driving me. According to Josh, she never stopped bothering him since and here they are. Josh and Kim moved in together in about a year. He was incredibly supportive of Kim while going through nursing school and helped her study through thousands of definitions and flash cards. She did her best to make sure there were tator tots and chocolate ice cream in the fridge for him. After graduating nursing school in May of 2024 and starting a big kid nursing job end of June, why not add another wonderful milestone? July 1st 2024, Josh had told Kim that they were going to go to Dockers (one of her favorite restaurants simply due to its on a lake and gorgeous) with their roommate Andy. Little did she know what he had up his sleeve, and he proposed right there by the water. Just the day before, she had heard that you meet your soulmate twice in your life. And how true that was! They started planning right away! Any spare moment was designated to planning their dream wedding and talking about what the future held for them. August 2024, Josh had another surprise up his sleeve and added a kitten to the family, Misty. She is a force to be reckoned with and will yell at the top of her little voice for treats and loves to stare at her fishy siblings. They moved in January, and have been busy bees ever since and enjoy spending every minute together. Sharing laughs and creating memories with Joshs favorite anime shows and games, Kims cheesy tv shows and crafts, playing fetch with Mistys favorite bird, and all the while continuing to discuss all the details of their bright future ahead. Like Ash chose Pikachu, Kim and Josh will always choose each other. (And Scyther and Bulbasaur)
