We met in March of 2008 at a company we both worked for. She became my boss while I was halfway done with my pregnancy. She brought me pbj sandwiches lol. We became friends right in the gate. Later becoming best of friends. I value her mentorship, love and support over the years. Honored to call her my best friend & so blessed to have such an amazing best friend in my life.

My first cousin that became my little sister. My human diary. Our bond is unmatched and many view our relationship as goals. I appreciate and love her dearly. She has been apart of every season I’ve been through, the brightest hours as well as the darkest ones. So blessed to have her in my life to embark on this new chapter.

Howard and I are second cousins but act as first cousins. Our bond grew stronger after his father gained his heavenly wings when we were kids. We did just about everything together, from crying, to laughing, to getting in trouble. We were the real “Bad Boys” movie growing up. We’re now grown men and dads. Howard has been there in both my bad and good days. I can always count on him to lend me his ear. I am truly blessed to have him as my cousin as well as my dearest best friend.

Ramon gave me a fair chance at the start of me getting my life back together after a long journey of other companies not giving me an opportunity to work at their establishment. During that time my beautiful family needed my financial support. Ramon and I started off as coworkers that quickly changed to a strong friendship that I truly value.

Terry is such a good friend of mines that turned into family. We started out working together and clicked instantly. He has always kept me in touch with better work opportunities throughout the years which I can truly appreciate. He’s a hard worker and an amazing father. Terry is just an all around solid person and I’m thankful for our friendship.

Vicky and I met in 8th grade. Her moving into a new school and new area I was one of her first friends. We have so many memories together. We use to talk about children and marriage all the time. It’s a true blessing to still be able to call her my friend after over 20 years. She’s the life of the party and you can bet that she will always have a smile on her face when you see her. I couldn’t have picked a better person to host my special day.

My auntie Tece has always felt more like a sister. Being the same age, we grew up side by side, building a bond that has been carried through every stage of life. She has been there for me through the brightest moments and the most difficult ones. After the loss of her younger brother, her strength and love for family have only deepened. I’m grateful to have her in my life and honored to have her officiate Kimberly and I union as we begin this new chapter together.

My nephew who has always been more like a little brother to me. Being only seven years apart, we grew up together and even lived in the same household. We shared so many childhood life’s moments together. Having him walk me down the aisle means more than words can express. Walking me down the aisle in honor of my big brother Otis.
