The Resort:

There are 6 areas of this grand resort, all with separate amenities, listed in order from most to least amenities. Bride, groom, and wedding party will be staying at Barcelo Maya Palace, but this is also your vacation, so please pick what you love!

1) Barcelo Maya Palace: This is considered the best area of all "kid friendly" areas of the grand resort. The only other guests able to access Palace section are those who stay at Palace or Riviera sections. The best rooms are listed under "Premium Level". The bride, groom, and wedding party will be staying here.

2) Barcelo Maya Riveria: This is an adult only area (18+), which has access to ALL other areas of the grand hotel. In addition, no other guests may access Riviera section nor their restaurants from other areas, giving more privacy. The best rooms are listed under "Premium Level".

*Unfortunately, this area is completely booked until December 9th, but can be an option for those extending their trip.

3) Barcelo Maya Tropical, Barcelo Maya Tropical, Barcelo Maya Colonial, Barcelo Maya Caribe, Barcelo Maya Beach: You will have access to all 5 of these sections. If you wanted to reserve a dinner at Palace, there is a fee $20 per dinner reservation. (If you stay at these areas, they do not monitor bracelets on the beach/pool of course, but you would not have access to Palace food/drink locations.) Some of these areas have private pools in premium level. Restaurants at these areas are very good! The best rooms are listed under "Premium Level".
