Kim and Billy first met at a friend's birthday party. Billy asked for Kim's number and they went on their first date. Kim and Billy have been dating since October 2010.

On December 31st, 2017, Billy decided the wait was over. He met Kim and her family on Maui to celebrate the upcoming New Year. As family members gathered for dinner, Billy offered a prayer. Billy began his speech and thanked everyone in the couple's lives…and that is when he popped the question…will you marry me? Kim was shocked and in tears, and of course happily said YES!
